ABOUT THE WEEK 20

Creativity is a very important factor that influences the quality of our work. We are required to produce a video for our client that will demostrate our reserach, work and the final idea on the project.


"Art in the classroom not only spurs creativity, it also inspires learning."  (Mickey Hart)


The creative idea of each individual will help to develop the creativity of whole team.  I think that this gives the groups the opportunity to connect the best ideas and so create something really outstanding. Also, as the quote says, people easily get inspired by the concepts of others and allows them to learn the objectives, opinions and viewes of each other. 



However, this may also bring some issues to the team. As not everyone can be the team player, poeple may come to the conflict with the different ideas, therefore I think it is important to always stay focused on the work and aviod bringing in the personal differences and misunderstandings.

ABOUT THE WEEK 19

During the following last weeks of the Big Agency unit, we are given a space to work on our assignment. To do our work on the seminars is truly helpful as the groups can be given advice and support from the tutors.

After this week's tutorial, our group was having a meeting with our client. Because we haven't done much work on the project in the previous weeks as we were waiting on the results from our research, I was advised to prepare few materials for the meeting. The preparation was left on me as nobody else from my group atended the class in the morning. 

I, personally, feel much pressure from this coursework. This is mainly because our group does not preform as good as it was expected. Not many things are done on time and in such quality as it was ment to be, Hopefully, at the end we will be able to produce a good piece of work.

ABOUT THE WEEK 18

Because our hand in date for the Assignment 2 is getting closer, the most of our attention on the seminars is given to the briefing on our coursework.


I am, personally, satisfied that this assignment, again, consist of the reflective but also of the creative task. I consider important to be able to give reflective evaluation of the individual and the group performance. It makes the student consider what was his/her actual contribution to the project. This is supported by the Peer assessment, which shows the (did)satisfaction and provides an evaluation of the work of other members of each student's group.


Producing a video that should contain the overview of the group's work on the project gives the opportunity to creatively evaluate the actual project  itself, but also it helps to connect it with credible research processes through which the group went in order to give the project the 'real life form'.

ABOUT THE WEEK 17

Creativity is very important part of whole marketing. On the seminar we have been talking about how to use creativity in our future jobs, how to be able to create interesting ideas and why creative thinking is inevitable for successful marketer. 




Sometimes, I feel like my creativity is not meeting the needs of the market. In some cases, I find it difficult to come up with the idea that would have the potential to stand out from the crowd. However, I think I can still learn new things about creativity by experiencing more and more real life projects that will help me gain insight and develop my marketing / creative thinking.
The mistakes that I will (un)fortunatelly make during my studies and also in my future career will help me form my ideas and understand how to direct them correctly towards as many creative and successful pieces of work as possible.

ABOUT THE WEEK 16

The session was essential in terms of providing the ideas about the Digital Marketing of 2017. However, I am not sure if I attended the seminar this time 😋 - as the slides don't look familiar to me...  Anyway, because the age we live in is all about 'being digital', I consider very important that we, as the future marketers, understand the need of use of digital devices and platforms in our field of work. 

We can easily transform gained knowledge into the practical skills thanks to our project with the client. Gone for good - as our client's organisation, is a charity business which definately has no spare resources for promoting itself via printed media. Therefore the digital marketing arrives on the scene here... Very essential and fundamental studies for our project.

ABOUT THE WEEK 15

How to write a creative brief?

Because this should be a question asked by each student in this term, there was a session given to help understanding what creative brief is, how to write it, how is this essential for a marketing student..


The presentation lead by Kate covered majority of issues connected with writing a creative brief. Very importantly, we have been give a list of 'wrong habits' that people tend to do and also we have seen few examples of creative briefs that do not meet the expectations of our tutors as a high-valued piece of work.

Writing a good creative brief may, however, have different forms, types of look and points to be covered. Therefore the briefs hold the characteristic of being 'creative'😊.

ABOUT THE WEEK 14

The major topics of the week 14 were mostly familiar to all the students. Terms such as data collection/interpretation, quantitative & qualitative research or Personas were already previously covered in other units of our course therefore we were able to understand the problematic in depth much quicker and easier.
Thanks to our actual knowledge about above mentioned study areas, I think there was better interaction between the lecturer and the students. Students felt more confident and comfortable talking and discussing the topic during the presentation.

 
Understanding and the use of Personas in our field of work was one of the most important topics of our Consumer Information Management course in the Term 1.
 
 
The lecture helped us to use our marketing skills and knowledge in other units, what we will definitely find useful in our future jobs. It made it also easier for us to see the connections between the units and so understand 'marketing' as one complex process.
